About Us

Originally from Tacoma, Washington, David and I graduated from the University of Idaho and Washington State University (respectively) in 2009 and moved to Los Alamos, NM. Sometime during the space between the carefree college life and the commitment of full-time employment, David got the idea to bike across the country someday. I surprised him  with an agreeable response, and in the winter of 2010, we set our sights on a departure of Summer 2012. In the 1.5 years we've had since then, we have saved as much money and as many vacation days as we could manage. We gathered the supplies, researched the routes, and started training. This blog is the chronicles of that story. Welcome!
